WHITE GALVANIZING
After galvanizing with a zinc layer of 5 to 20 microns, the protective surface is made to react with other metal elements that resist oxidation (e.g. chromium or nickel). The zinc coating is thus slightly altered to create a metal film that is more resistant to the formation of rust.
To erode the zinc layer, oxygen must first try to oxidize the most superficial passivating element, which is inherently very resistant to this process. This will increase the service life of the galvanizing of steels and metals.
Various factors can be acted upon to achieve different passivations. Elettrogalvanica Modenese, thanks to the expertise accumulated in 35 years of service, is able to achieve passivation with treatments that vary in duration, temperature and PH of the solution used.

DIFFERENT GALVANIZING DEPENDING ON COLOR
Types of galvanizing are distinguished by their color.
The white or blue galvanizing, although it has a slightly shorter lifespan than the others, are highly appreciated by our customers due to the pleasant aesthetic effect they give to the components.
We carry out the white passivation with pure trivalent chromium, free of chromium VI, in the provinces of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Bologna.
